DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) -- After 20 years covering politics, I'm a hard sell. I've seen every gimmick known to politicians: train trips, hang gliders, pyrotechnics and "intimate" conversations with voters in barber shops, front porches, diners and ice cream shops.
Lord knows I have seen hundreds of endorsements.
But the Double "O" show, coming to an early primary state near you, was something else again. There was an "Iowa for Obama" sign on the wall, adorned with white Christmas tree lights. The obligatory banner hung in camera range just behind the podium.

is not an intelligent man or one that is not worthy to sit in the white house ; for he is both ; and this is not an endorsement ; but i ask Oprah is your decision based on colour of skin and would you make the same decision if Barack Obama was of another ethnic background ? ; my decision if i had one would not be based upon colour or religion or if it was male or female but upon one that could do a good job for the country and set directions to a cooperative world working together for the good of all and not for one specific group of people ; through political discussion and not through threats to war if you did not comply to my every decision ; one that had understanding to differences in cultural and religious doctrines ; not one that was trying to force theirs down someones throat ; (misunderstand not what i speak nor twist to suit thy own needs ) ; for if i was able to vote in the u.s.a. and i determined Barack Obama was the best candidate for the job out of the bunch , he would receive my vote with out reservation ; regardless of his colour ; but many in circles feel it is time for a woman president ; a black president ; but i say its time for a good president ; that will take the world with help of and in cooperation with all nations into the next generations of peoples of the world ;
