PARIS, France (AP) -- Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi was to meet with lawmakers from France's lower house of Parliament on Tuesday, the second day of a state visit that has sparked a maelstrom of controversy.
Opposition Socialist lawmakers and others have vowed to boycott the meeting, complaining that the visit by the Libyan leader, long considered a pariah for his support of state terrorism, tarnishes France's image as a champion of human rights.
